We use inhalation sedation, which is a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen ('laughing gas'), this leads to a very relaxed and calm feeling, just like floating on a cloud.
It is very comfortable as you just need to breathe in the mixture through a nosepiece.
You are conscious all through treatment, you will feel no discomfort, although you may feel a little drowsy.
There are no after-effects either, and you can drive a car after about 15 minutes.
